Sales at Andorra's large commercial surfaces rose 1.5% in November 2025 compared to the prior year on a nominal basis, driven mainly by food products, though constant-price data revealed a 0.9% decline overall.

The Department of Statistics released the data on Monday. At constant prices—excluding inflation effects—the sales index reached 96.7, down from 97.6 in November 2024. Food sales increased 1.9% in real terms, while non-food products dropped 4.1%. Nominal figures captured price shifts, with food up 3.9% and non-food down 1.5%.

Month-over-month, sales climbed 10.6% from October, linked partly to seasonal year-end patterns. Employment rose 0.5% year-on-year and 6.8% from the previous month. Women accounted for 63.8% of the workforce, with 91.6% in full-time roles.

The data underscore steady food demand amid weaker non-food performance, where inflation obscured an underlying volume contraction.
