Sales at Andorra's large commercial surfaces rose 1.5% in November 2025 compared to November 2024 on a nominal basis, propelled by food products, while constant-price figures showed a 0.9% overall decline.

The Department of Statistics published the figures on Monday. Adjusting for inflation, the sales index stood at 96.7, down from 97.6 the previous year. Food sales gained 1.9% in real terms, offsetting a 4.1% drop in non-food items. Nominal data reflected price changes, with food up 3.9% and non-food down 1.5%.

Compared to October 2025, sales jumped 10.6%, partly due to year-end seasonal trends. Employment increased 0.5% year-on-year and 6.8% month-on-month. Women made up 63.8% of the workforce, with 91.6% in full-time positions.

The results highlight resilient food demand against a sharper non-food downturn, where inflation masked reduced volumes.
