Andorran Banking has donated €6,000 to Càritas Andorrana to support its Acollida – Primary Care programme, a key service that assists people and families in vulnerable situations. The contribution is part of a collaboration between the bank and the charity that began eight years ago.

This year Càritas has assisted 294 families, covering 512 people, a figure similar to last year. In 2024 the organisation recorded 1,112 problems, of which 75% were resolved through direct aid, guidance or specialised referrals.

Càritas warns of a growing number of families who are in paid employment but face increasing difficulty meeting daily expenses due to rising housing costs and the general cost of living. The charity also highlights the importance of emotional support for many people affected by loneliness or a sense of uprooting.

Càritas president Anna Maria Villas and Andorran Banking director general Esther Puigcercós both emphasised the importance of combining efforts to ensure that no one is left behind.
