BMW has overtaken rivals to become the top-selling passenger car brand in Andorra for 2025, with Mercedes-Benz and Toyota rounding out the podium, according to year-end data from the Vehicle Importers Association (AIVA).

The figures show 2,511 new passenger car sales for the year, up from 2,137 in 2024. Adding 1,286 imported vehicles brings the total registrations to 3,797. BMW led with 204 new units, capturing just over 8% of the market. Its best performers were the M3 Competition M xDrive (24 units), X2 M35i xDrive (14) and X3 M50 xDrive (14). Mercedes-Benz followed closely with 200 sales (7.96% share), driven by the V-Klasse (16), GLC 220 D 4Matic (14) and GLC 300 DE 4Matic (10). Toyota secured third place with 164 units (6.53%), topped by the Yaris Cross (63)—the country's overall best-selling model—alongside the Land Cruiser and GR Yaris (21 each).

Ford ranked fourth with 160 new sales, ahead of Porsche (159, down from 2024's top spot), Hyundai (158), Renault (150), Cupra (136), Seat (122) and Audi (105). Luxury brands also posted strong numbers: Ferrari sold 56 new units plus 21 imports, Lamborghini 25 new and 16 imports, and Alpine 23 new plus two imports.

Among individual models, the Toyota Yaris Cross led with 63 units, followed by the Seat Arona (55) and Cupra Formentor (42). The Renault Clio (41), Ford Turneo Custom (36), Hyundai Tucson (34) and Ford Kuga (32) completed the top seven.

Petrol-powered cars dominated with 965 sales, followed by non-plug-in petrol hybrids (719), diesel (327), plug-in petrol hybrids (224), diesel hybrids (94) and plug-in diesel hybrids (15). Pure electrics accounted for just 163 units (6.49%), with Tesla leading at 32 new and 19 imported.

Imported vehicles showed a different hierarchy, still topped by BMW (235), then Mercedes-Benz (181) and Audi (171), followed by Volkswagen (133) and Porsche (123).
