Andorra Turisme has agreed with the Andorra la Vella parish council to host Cirque du Soleil's show with 22 performances from 3 July to 2 August this year at the Centre Ciutat bus park, facing the government headquarters.
The collaboration, detailed in the Official Bulletin of the Principality of Andorra (BOPA) on Wednesday, represents the penultimate event under the existing contract with the troupe, which runs until 2027. The council will provide the site free of charge from 3 May to 30 August for tent setup, the run, and dismantling. Andorra Turisme will handle cleaning, security, water supply, and any damage to council assets during that time. Food and drink offerings inside the venue will be minimised, with no outside advertising permitted, following precedents from previous editions.
The agreement mandates promotion of the Andorra la Vella main festival, from 27 July to 2 August, through displays for audiences and inclusion of the shows in the festival schedule. The council will receive 300 tickets spread across the performances, with 150 reserved for parishioners over the closing weekend—50 each on Friday 31 July, Saturday 1 August, and Sunday 2 August. The council will oversee all ticket allocation.
Some reports, including from Diari d'Andorra, initially referenced the BOPA document in connection with 2026 performances at the same venue, while noting the 300 tickets, festival ties, and Andorra Turisme's coverage of setup and operational expenses. The explicit terms, however, confirm the 2024 dates. The partnership bolsters Andorra's summer cultural and tourism profile, establishing the country as a venue for global productions.
