Canillo's Sixth Magic Festival Draws 600 Spectators Over Three Days

Canillo's sixth "Canillo s’omple de màgia" festival drew around 600 spectators across three days this weekend, highlighted by illusionist Anthony Blake's mentalism show that filled the Palau de Gel auditorium with nearly 300 people on Saturday.

The programme spanned multiple venues, including the Palau de Gel auditorium, Passeig Bondància, and Perecaus building, offering professional performances, family workshops, and interactive activities. On Friday evening, La Maga Melanie's "Fasciné" attracted about 70 attendees. Saturday featured Sebastien Dethisse's comic magic at midday with roughly 80 participants, followed by David el Mag's afternoon children's workshop drawing a similar crowd. Sunday wrapped up with Niñas del Mago's family show "Idea2", while the Magic Market at Passeig Bondància enjoyed brisk attendance, adding to the lively atmosphere.

Culture and Traditions councillor Cristel Torres praised the turnout and programming quality. She noted the event's success in appealing to all ages and creating a distinctive vibe, establishing it as a key parish cultural fixture.

Robert Lizarte, the Culture and Traditions director, described the edition as strengthening the festival's reputation for blending artistic excellence, accessibility, and community engagement. Organisers have begun preparations for next year, aiming to expand with new attractions. The festival continues to stand out as a must-visit for magic fans and families in Andorra.
