Andorra's publishing sector is gearing up for a vibrant Sant Jordi on April 23, with more than 30 new titles spanning history, non-fiction, crime novels, poetry, and children's literature.

Among the standout releases, *Divendres 13. La pandèmia a Andorra* from Anem Editors offers a firsthand account of the crisis by former ministers Joan Martínez Benazet and Eric Jover. Emotional resonance surrounds *Tafetans de justícia* from Editorial Medusa, by the late Sergi Mas, who passed away shortly after its launch event, which he could not attend. The book blends irony and magic, drawing readers in as a poignant tribute.

Anem Editors emphasises narrative history with titles like Jorge Cebrián's *L’estafador que va ser rei d’Andorra*, recounting Boris Skossyreff's 1934 self-proclamation as king; Jordi Casamajor's *Andorra insòlita*, exploring legends and archaeology; and Enric Dilmé's *El darrer segle i mig d’arquitectura andorrana*, tracing architectural evolution. Other works include Marc Pont Fitó's *Presoners a Cerdanya el 1939* on wartime repression and Albert Ginestà's *Atles de les ombres*, turning forgotten real events into tales of resistance.

Editorial Medusa features bold voices beyond Mas's book, such as Laura Tomàs Mora's *Matermorfosis*, challenging maternity through intense narratives, Txema Díaz-Torrent's humorous *Xarnego* on peripheral childhood, and Ramon Reventós's satirical *Un centaure a la Rambla*. Additional releases include Pilar Burgués's *Ametlles torrades* (Editorial Andorra), Antoni Caus Vidal's poetic *14 d’abril*, and Joan Peruga's 1930s adventure *El museu de l’elefant*.

Marinada Edicions offers variety with Nil Forcada's *Teoria del rídicul*, Robert Pastor's crime novel *Foscors a Ponent*, Miquel Àngel Català's youthful mystery *Les veus del llac*, and Carles Acosta's emotional *Quan torni la llum* on relationships and abuse. Editorial Llamps i Trons includes poetry like Juli Fernández's *De cor t’ho vaig dir* and Laia Corma's *Flors d’Amor*, plus thrillers such as Maria Cucurull's *Coca masegada* and Francesc Puigpelat i Valls's *El parany de Tucídides*. Sports and symbolism appear in Àlex Terés's *Principat Blaugrana* and Pol Bartolomé's *La font dels diamants*, alongside Carles Jardí Pinyol's forthcoming poetry winner *Ruralia (De llavors i d’ara)*.

Further highlights from Editorial i Acadèmia Masegosa feature Fabiola Sofía Masegosa's horror *El rebost i altres malsons* and Anna Sierra Barrabés's eco-adventure *Coses que passen quan vols salvar el planeta*. Trotalibros Editorial revives international classics like Kostas Taktsís's *El cambio* and James Baldwin's *Hora de conèixer l’home*. Rounding out the list are Toni Gamero's *¿Y ahora qué?* on post-leukaemia life, cultural compilations, and titles on heritage, legends, and history such as *Serps, avets i huracans* and *Conflictes bèl·lics al Pirineu*.

In the lead-up, Encamp's communal library hosted the roundtable *Novetats literàries d’Andorra* on Saturday, organised by the comú and Associació d’Editors d’Andorra. The event gathered seven authors—Laura Tomàs, Jan Arimany, Joan Peruga, Fabiola Sofía Masegosa, Miquel Àngel Català, and Joan Martínez Benazet and Eric Jover—for discussions and a book signing over a casual breakfast.

Encamp Culture councillor Joan Sans described it as a space to connect authors, publishers, and readers, taking books off shelves for direct interaction. He noted the format's success from its debut, praising Andorran literature's strength ahead of Sant Jordi.

Tomàs, debuting with *Matermorfosis*—a finalist for the Ictineu award in best fantastic collection—called the process organic, sparked by editor David Galvez at Medusa. Living in Barcelona, she anticipates her first Andorran Sant Jordi, looking forward to signing across parishes in a festive atmosphere.
