Sant Julià de Lòria's 17th Ruta de la Tapa wrapped up on Sunday after five days of gastronomic activity and festive atmosphere, with 15 participating venues serving 12,572 dishes—a figure several hundred higher than last year.
The event, running from May 6 to 10, featured €4 tapas paired with drinks. Diners collected stamps via a passport system and voted digitally for prizes, including the new healthiest tapa award supported by Cellab and the revived best sweet tapa category.
Popular options included Bar Restaurant Fenoy's Cruixent de Moe with local black botifarra sausage and festuc; Cafeteria del Centre's Bombó mariner of cuttlefish, squid and prawns; and Bert's Taco Bert edició Andorrana blending grilled entreña, guacamole and Andorran artisan cheese.
Animation filled the week with live magic, xaranga bands and roaming concerts. On Saturday evening, covers group Els Senyora performed for all ages, starting at 8pm outside Cafeteria Bert and moving through central streets until 10pm, delivering well-known song versions that created a lively vibe.
Tourism councillor Judith López called the edition a clear success despite adverse weather. She pointed to crowded streets and restaurants, strong public approval of the food, and venues operating smoothly without stock issues. López also credited parallel activities for sustaining energy and attracting locals and visitors alike.
The council described the Ruta as fully established, praising the blend of cuisine, entertainment and prizes for driving high turnout and positioning Sant Julià as a key gastronomic and social hub that energised local hospitality.
