Sant Julià de Lòria Launches Floral Spring Trail Laurèdia Floreix

Sant Julià de Lòria has launched Laurèdia Floreix, a family-oriented spring trail designed to highlight the parish's key landmarks through vibrant floral displays and interactive features.

Cònsol Menor Sofia Cortesao inaugurated the initiative on Tuesday, describing it as a playful way to blend spring colors, local history, and culture. The 500-meter route starts at Plaça del Solà in pink tones, followed by Font del Borgador in blue, Font dels Cóms in yellow with sunflowers, Plaça Calonge i Sant Antoni in red and pink shades, Plaça Laurèdia in lilac, and Plaça Rocacorba in pink. Each of the six stops features a Dama Blanca figure with a QR code in four languages, providing historical insights linked to the familiar Camí de la Senyoreta trail. Visitors pick up a passport at the tourism office to collect stamps, earning an eco-friendly gift upon completion. Cortesao stressed the focus on exploration rather than prizes, noting early interest with 30 families signing up pre-launch and 108 passports distributed by Tuesday afternoon. Backed by a €20,000 investment in reusable materials, the sustainable program runs until June 21 and ties into the parish's busy spring calendar, including the Aplec de Canòlich, Ruta de la Tapa, Tomb Lauredià, and Rocanòlich.

Alongside this, preparations continue for the parish's fourth Fira de Primavera, now expanded to three days from Friday, May 15, to Sunday, May 17, at Plaça de la Germandat. Cortesao and Colla Laurediana secretary Jordi Blanco unveiled details on Monday, with a budget topping €15,000—more than double last year's—driven by the success of the plaza venue debut. Upgrades include enhanced sound, security, decor, and professionalized services like bar management, supported by the Comú's logistical and technical resources across departments. The lineup caters to all ages with music, dance, and local gastronomy from participating establishments. Saturday's 7:30 p.m. headline concert features Seville acts La Quarta Cuerda, Javi Fute, and Luis Romero with his band—artists with over 500,000 social media followers each across Spain, Portugal, and France. Other performers include Encamp's Escola de Dansa Espanyola, Alba Cañabate, Marc Medeiros, Aïnoa Acevedo, Zaira Martínez, Son del Aire, MS Alma Flamenca, and Alendoy Flamenc Andorra. Organizers have weather contingencies but aim to keep activities outdoors. Cortesao called the fair a May highlight that fosters community and boosts local commerce, crediting the Colla as the driving force. Blanco described the group as young locals keen to energize the economy, with plans to professionalize further for next year's edition.
