23 Andorran Senior Students Embark on Erasmus+ Exchanges Across Europe

Twenty-three third-year students from Andorra's Campus de l'Experiència programme took part in Erasmus+ Senior exchanges during the 2025-2026 academic year, undertaking week-long visits to institutions in Austria, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland from March to May.

The participants, all over 50 and enrolled in the three-year Senior Degree programme run jointly by Creand Fundació and Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona), sought to broaden their academic horizons, explore diverse European cultural and social environments, and exchange insights with peers at comparable life stages. The trips also strengthened language skills, primarily in English, alongside Italian for the Italy visit.

The breakdown included eight students at Die Wiener Volkshochschule in Vienna, Austria; five at Università della Terza Età Paolo Naliato in Udine, Italy; five at Technical University in Liberec, Czech Republic; three at Technical University in Zvolen, Slovakia; and two at Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa, Poland.

Now in its second year of availability to Andorran students—limited to those in at least their third year—the initiative aligns with the Campus de l'Experiència's focus on lifelong learning, knowledge sharing, personal connections, and active ageing. Completing students who accumulate 30 ECTS credits earn a Diploma in the Senior University Programme in Culture, Science and Society from UIC Barcelona.
