Andorra la Vella launches "Valira Vespre" with local food, music and riverside atmosphere
Andorra la Vella has launched its new "Valira Vespre" event along the river promenade near Pont de París bridge, establishing a fresh summer meeting point with dining, performances and a laid-back evening vibe.
The inaugural edition took place on Wednesday, 1 July, from 6pm to 10pm. Organised by the comuna, the gathering seeks to animate the urban and commercial riverside area through outdoor leisure that emphasises relaxation amid the river's calm flow at dusk. Officials position it as a venue for socialising, chatting and unwinding, separate from typical nightlife or formal shows.
Visitors could explore offerings from five local spots featuring drink pairings with tapas or pintxos: Restaurant Plan B, Barra Mars, Bar Nou, La Catedral and Maison Carne.
The musical lineup featured Efrem Roca and Susanne Georgi performing live as a duo from 6pm to 8pm on the promenade. Helder Barroso DJ then took over with house, disco and funk selections until 10pm, coinciding with sunset.
The evening concluded with a special display from the Aquae et lumina water, light and music fountain at the nearby roundabout. The event is set to continue on Tuesdays through the summer.
