Andorra la Vella Switches to Google Forms After Second Summer Activity Signup Crash

Andorra la Vella has switched to a Google Forms alternative for summer activity registrations in its Culture and Social departments following a second technical failure on Thursday morning.

The platform, relaunched at 9am on June 6 after postponement from Tuesday's collapse due to high traffic, again buckled under simultaneous user access. Parents reported widespread access issues from the opening, prompting some to visit Social department offices in person—often with laptops in hand—to demand answers and express anger over disrupted workdays and childcare needs.

Working families stressed their dependence on these programs amid limited spots and pricier private options, with some noting multiesports slots already filled. The Comú attributed delays to peak demand from consolidating all Culture and Social signups into one day, urging users to retry after a few minutes as load eased.

In response, officials activated a temporary Google Forms link (https://forms.gle/F36CKW2CcZ61ktsd7), distributed via SMS, email, Telegram groups, and the website. Families must specify requested activities in priority order; allocations will prioritize submission timestamps, with notifications planned for June 5-8.

The Comú apologised for the repeated disruptions—now an annual issue in parents' eyes—and pledged an orderly, transparent process. Sports department signups continue without interruption.
