Andorra la Vella's "Valira Vespre" riverside event draws strong crowds on debut

Andorra la Vella's inaugural "Valira Vespre" event along the river promenade near Pont de París bridge attracted significant attendance on Wednesday, 1 July, filling terraces and tables from the early evening.

Held from 6pm to 10pm and organised by the comuna, the gathering combined local gastronomy, live music and a relaxed social atmosphere to revitalise the urban and commercial riverside area. Positioned as a "tardeig" style outing—focused on meeting, disconnecting, chatting and enjoying the river's gentle flow at dusk—it differentiates itself from nightlife parties or traditional concerts.

Five local establishments participated with special drink promotions paired with tapas or pintxos, including croquettes, bacallà al pil-pil and txaca skewers: Restaurant Plan B, Barra Mars, Bar Nou, La Catedral and Maison Carne.

The music programme opened with a live duet by Efrem Roca and Susanne Georgi from 6pm to 8pm. Helder Barroso DJ followed with a house, disco and funk set until 10pm, aligning with sunset. The evening ended with a special performance from the Aquae et lumina water, light and music fountain at the nearby Rotonda roundabout, drawing crowds from the promenade.

The strong public response has established the zone as a key summer social hub. The event will continue on Tuesdays throughout the summer.
