Miguel Bosé visited Andorra's Immigration Service this morning to complete the initial paperwork required for residency in the Principat.
The Spanish-Panamanian artist arrived early at the offices in the Obac building on Carrer de les Boïgues in Escaldes-Engordany, accompanied by three advisors. His presence is mandatory for the first stage, which involves personal identity checks, after which further steps can be delegated.
Before entering, Bosé and his group stopped for breakfast at Bar Cachirulo, directly opposite the service. The establishment's manager, Tito, said they arrived around 9am and ordered four cafés amb llet, staying for about an hour at a table. "He came like any other customer and we treated him as such," Tito noted, describing the singer as "very polite throughout." He added that celebrities are common in the area: "When it's not a cyclist, it's a YouTuber or a singer," and rumours had circulated that Bosé planned to relocate.
Bosé proved approachable with locals who approached him to welcome him or exchange greetings. He appeared delighted to be in Andorra.
The singer, who has lived in Mexico in recent years with two of his four children born via surrogacy from his former partner, the Valencian sculptor Nacho Palau, has rented a chalet called Esclop in the Guem urbanisation in Escaldes-Engordany. Altaveu reported he leased it on condition the owner remove all furnishings, which has now been done. The relatively discreet property, partially screened by trees on its plot, will see minimal exterior changes beyond fence improvements.
Bosé's interest in Andorra surfaced months ago after he visited an educational centre to enrol his children, who will attend Agora International School in L'Aldosa, La Massana. Spanish media reported a monthly rent of around €10,000 for the chalet, owned by an Anglo-Indian family. A full move is expected in coming months, though permanent settlement remains unconfirmed as he adapts the property.
