Andorra Funds €98K for 8 New Artistic Projects in 2027 Crea Festival

The Andorran government has approved €98,271 to fund eight new artistic projects ahead of the third edition of Andorra Crea – Mercat de les arts fetes a Andorra, set for 15-17 April 2027.

The selected works, by creators Joel Pla, Naiara Galdós, Romina Dolonguevich (also known as Romina Yael), Oriol Guillem, Lua Roca, Iolanda Sanmarcos, Xavier Pérez and Adrià Soubias, will use the grants for development during 2026. Each must premiere as part of the biennial festival's official programme, with creators earning further payments comparable to those for other featured pieces. This year's total marks a small decrease from the €99,915 allocated for similar projects last year.

Joel Pla's Tornada a paratge de Sant Pere leads with €30,616, followed by Oriol Guillem's Prompt at €22,765. The pair represent over half the funding. The others received:

- Refugis efímers by Naiara Galdós (€5,420)

- L’art de construir by Romina Dolonguevich (€8,920)

- La impostora by Lua Roca (€10,050)

- Especulacions íntimes by Iolanda Sanmarcos (€7,500)

- ToxoPlastic by Xavier Pérez (€9,750)

- L’hivern infinit by Adrià Soubias (€3,250)

Organised by the government and Andorra's seven parishes, the event seeks to promote contemporary Andorran creation, strengthen sector professionalism, increase global exposure for local talent and establish the Principality as a centre for cutting-edge art and exhibitions. Full details of the programme, incorporating these projects, will emerge in the first quarter of 2027.
