The Andorran government has approved eight new artistic projects for the third edition of Andorra Crea – Mercat de les arts fetes a Andorra, set for 15-17 April 2027.
A total of €98,271 in funding will aid development of the works through 2026, with each required to premiere at the biennial festival. The selected creators will also earn separate payments for showcasing their pieces in the official programme, matching compensation for other non-new works chosen next year. This year's total dips just below last year's €99,915 allocation.
Joel Pla's Tornada a paratge de Sant Pere leads with €30,616, followed by Oriol Guillem's Prompt at €22,765. The pair claim over half the budget. Remaining grants are:
- Refugis efímers by Naiara Galdós (€5,420)
- L’art de construir by Romina Yael (€8,920)
- La impostora by Lua Roca (€10,050)
- Especulacions íntimes by Iolanda SanMarcos (€7,500)
- ToxoPlastic by Xavier Pérez (€9,750)
- L’hivern infinit by Adrià Soubias (€3,250)
The full festival lineup, incorporating these projects, will launch in the first quarter of 2027. Jointly run by the government and Andorra's seven parishes, the event underscores commitment to emerging national talent. It seeks to advance contemporary Andorran art, raise professional levels and spotlight local creators abroad, establishing the Principality as a centre for innovative production and display.
