Andorra la Vella's Festa Major Expands to 67 Events for All Ages

Andorra la Vella's Festa Major will begin on Thursday, July 30, and run through August 3, featuring 67 events—nine more than last year.
The local council has expanded the five-day programme to draw visitors into longer stays in the capital with diverse offerings for all ages. Activities span concerts, sports, children's events, youth programmes and popular traditions. "This is a festival designed for everyone, open to everyone," said Major Consul Sergi González.
New additions include a pickleball day, table tennis sessions—popular in recent editions—and a havaneres singing event aimed at older audiences. The opening night in Plaça Guillemó will feature performances by two local Andorran groups, with the stage already set up.
Friday, July 31, brings Mama Dousha, Ludwig Band and DJ Helder. On Saturday, August 1, Celtas Cortos, The Tyets and DJ Dydy take the stage, among others.
Hysteriofunk, a band deeply rooted in the parish, will deliver the opening pregó. González praised their long-standing efforts, while Culture head Jan Cartes hinted at a possible surprise: "Even though they never sing, we might hear them do so."
Free hats and fans with QR codes for public feedback will be distributed at select events, continuing a tradition from prior years.
