Ordino's Ossa festival is set to appear at the 14th Pyrenean Iron Fair in Alins this weekend, highlighting Andorran intangible cultural heritage next to other UNESCO-listed traditions from Pyrenean and Catalan areas.

The biannual gathering in Alins, Vall Ferrera in Pallars Sobirà, runs through Saturday and Sunday under the banner "Igniting memory, forging the future". It spotlights living popular expressions tied to collective memory, such as Catalan human towers, the Patum festival, timber rafting, falles bonfires, dry stone walling, and bell ringing.

The Ordino Popular Culture Association has organised a theatrical talk on the Ossa for Saturday, July 11, combining its historical development—from ancient roots to today—with live portrayals by central figures in the satirical farce. Participants will include dallaires, the knight, the maiden, paquetaires, senyorets, and the bear. Sources differ slightly on the start time: 11:30am according to one report, or 11:45am per another. The event will unfold inside Alins church.

Ordino's presence continues that afternoon with a roundtable, "Before and after UNESCO recognition". Albert Roig from the association will speak for the Ossa, detailing the designation's effects on its safeguarding, outreach, and profile as humanity's intangible cultural heritage. Representatives from the fair's other UNESCO traditions will join, moderated by Joan Reguant, to discuss the label's wider influence on these customs.
