The Toni Martí pavilion in Andorra la Vella hosted the national final of the World Robot Olympiad 2026 on Sunday, bringing together 312 children and young people from Andorra and several areas of Spain. Organized into 120 teams, the participants took on 11 categories testing their abilities in robotics, programming, and challenge resolution.

The event featured 17 competition tracks and drew nearly 1,000 spectators, supported by 65 volunteers. Challenges were designed for varying ages and skill levels, emphasizing learning processes alongside outcomes. Participants honed critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Teams topping the Future Innovators, Future Engineers, RoboSports, RoboMission Elementary, and RoboMission Junior categories earned places to represent Andorra and Spain at the international final, set for 8-10 December in Puerto Rico against squads from other nations.

Andorra Telecom served as the primary sponsor, staging the final to advance educational robotics and STEAM fields for young people. The company highlighted these efforts as essential for igniting tech passion and preparing the next generation for a digital and AI-driven world.

Organizers from Andorra Telecom thanked the EducaBot Foundation, volunteers, sponsors, and collaborators. The day united children, teens, families, educators, and industry experts in promoting innovation.
