Photographer Ana Arce will unveil her exhibition *Les aiguabelles del Madriu* on Thursday, 19 March, at 7pm at the E-Naturam florist in Parc de la Mola, Escaldes-Engordany. The display, featuring images of flowers from the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Vall del Madriu-Perafita-Claror, will remain open for purchases until 20 March.
Arce's photographs highlight the fragile beauty and resilience of the valley's flora, exploring nature's fleeting moments under the exhibition's motto: “La natura s’obre només per un instant. Després, torna al silenci” (Nature opens only for an instant. Then it returns to silence). All proceeds from sales will go directly to Creu Roja Andorrana, supporting the organisation's ongoing social work in the country.
The artist, who has lived in Andorra since 1984, described the project as a way to channel art into community support. “For me, this exhibition has no meaning without Creu Roja Andorrana. Their work in the country is essential and constant, often silent, like the nature I portray,” she said.
A specialist in portraiture with international recognition for her charitable projects, Arce has stepped back from commercial work to focus on benevolent initiatives. She serves as a volunteer and board member for Creu Roja Andorrana, giving the effort a personal dimension.
The exhibition has drawn backing from Vall del Madriu-Perafita-Claror, Galeria Art al Set, and Dona Secret, all contributing to efforts that celebrate Andorra's natural and cultural heritage.
