The "Pioneers 1884-1954: Andorra Through the Eyes of Its First Photographers" exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports to mark the Arxiu Nacional's 50th anniversary, closed on 13 March after drawing 3,046 visitors over nearly four months. The show ran from its 18 November opening at the Govern's exhibition hall, with 76% of attendees being Andorran residents.

Curated by photographer Isidre Escorihuela and Arxiu Nacional historian Pau Chica, the display featured 143 photographs from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century. Sourced from nine collections by 11 photographers, the images captured significant episodes in Andorra's history. The exhibition was complemented by around 50 parallel activities, including lectures, workshops and guided tours, which explored photography and lesser-known aspects of the Principality's recent past and received strong public engagement.

Driven by the Cultural Heritage and Cultural Promotion departments, the initiative highlighted public-private partnerships in preserving photographic archives, many of which remain in private hands but are safeguarded and shared through cooperation with the Arxiu Nacional.

The Govern's exhibition hall is now preparing for "[Referents]. Lita Cabellut + Maseda", set to open on 30 March at 19:30. Commissariat by Eloy Martínez de la Pera and organized by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with ArtLab Andorra gallery, the show presents portraits of 20 key figures from contemporary history via a creative dialogue between the artists. Lita Cabellut, born in 1961 in Sarinyena near Huesca and based in the Netherlands, is among Spain's leading international painters, emphasizing emotional human bonds. Marco Maseda, born in 1977 in Castellón and known artistically as Maseda, produces figurative works with urban influences, using portraits to probe emotions and critique visual imagery.
