Andorra is showcasing its publishing sector at the 85th Madrid Book Fair, running from May 29 to June 14 in Madrid's Parque del Retiro. The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, via its Public Reading and Libraries department, operates the Principality's official stand, displaying 160 titles in Catalan and Spanish from eight publishers affiliated with the Andorran Publishers Association.

Culture Minister Mònica Bonell attended the fair's opening on Friday and toured the Andorran stand. This marks the fourth year in a row that Andorra has maintained an official presence at the event, which this year focuses on humour.

The effort seeks to boost the local editorial industry, highlight publications supported directly or indirectly by public institutions, and expose Andorran authors and publishers to wider audiences. The fair, organised by the Madrid Booksellers Association in collaboration with the Madrid Publishers Association and distributors group FANDE, ranks among Spain's leading literary events.

The participating publishers include Publicacions del Govern d’Andorra, Editorial Andorra, Anem Editors, Trotalibros Editorial, Editorial i Acadèmia Masegosa, Llamps i trons, Editorial Medusa, and Edicions Marinada.

Book signings are scheduled for the coming weekend, with author Jorge Cebrián appearing on May 30 and 31 to sign copies of his book *L’estafador que va ser rei d’Andorra*, published by Anem Editors.
