Andorra's Tonight: Classical Concert, Chemistry Talk & Book Launch

Tonight's cultural events in Andorra include a classical concert, a chemistry lecture and a book presentation, alongside several ongoing art exhibitions.

The concert featuring Berlioz's *Les nuits d'été* and Debussy's *La damoiselle élue* starts at 6pm in the Església de Sant Julià i Sant Germà in Sant Julià de Lòria. It explores two key 19th-century French lyrical pieces linked by sensual texts, subtle orchestration and deep poetic spirituality.

At 7pm, Dr Josep Maria Fernàndez i Novell, dean of the Col·legi Oficial de Químics de Catalunya and president of the Associació de Químics de Catalunya, presents a talk on the origins of chemical elements from the Big Bang to oganesson at Centre Cultural La Llacuna in Andorra la Vella. He will cover the discovery of periodic table elements and their practical uses.

Also at 7pm, Llibreria La Trenca in Andorra la Vella hosts the launch of *El rebost i altres malsons* by Fabiola Sofía Masegosa, with a dramatised reading by Raquel López under the direction of Pere Tomàs.

Art exhibitions on view this week include: - **L’Univers de la Maite** at Centre Cultural La Llacuna in Andorra la Vella, showcasing prints by Maite Bernet alongside jewellery, ceramics and her recent enamels. It runs until 26 March. - **Imatges Sense Fronteres** at Biblioteca Comunal Antoni Morell in La Massana, with photographs by Associació Fotogràfica Valls del Nord members capturing global landscapes that highlight diversity, beauty and a shared sense of exploration. It ends 28 March. - **Van Gogh Live Andorra 2026** at Sala Prat del Roure in Escaldes-Engordany, the world’s most visited immersive Van Gogh experience bringing his works to life through unique technology. It lasts until 6 April. - **Celebrant Marilyn** at Centre d’Art d’Escaldes in Escaldes-Engordany, tracing Marilyn Monroe’s evolution from young woman to Hollywood star, icon and consumer object across various artistic styles and media.
