Andorran singer Marta Roquett has teamed up with Chilean artist Dímelo Tatan for the first time on a new track called *Kilómetros*, set for release on 1 March. A preview shared on Instagram has already racked up 50,000 views in just two days, with a music video also in the works.
The collaboration began in 2023 when the pair connected via social media. Dímelo Tatan, who recently returned to Andorra after a stint in Chile, brought initial ideas for the song, which evolved significantly during studio sessions. "We kept exchanging thoughts on melodies, lyrics, and structure," he said. "What started as a basic concept from Chile turned into something much stronger once we worked on it together."
Roquett, known for her pop-rock background, welcomed the chance to venture into urban romantic sounds. "It felt completely natural," she explained. "I've always listened to a wide range of music, and my voice fits different styles well." Dímelo Tatan added that musical labels matter less than the creative spark in the studio, especially when blending distinct influences.
For Dímelo Tatan, the project marks a milestone as his debut as a lead vocalist, having previously focused on production. Roquett sees it as a way to expand her sound without abandoning her roots. Both expressed enthusiasm for future work together, including new songs and a broader musical endeavour.
Language also features in their plans. Dímelo Tatan, who has lived in Andorra for a decade, is keen to incorporate Catalan despite not being fully fluent. "Urban music in Catalan has huge potential, and I'm open to it—even if I need some guidance," he said. Roquett, who has released tracks in Catalan and is writing more, envisions mixing Catalan and Spanish alongside varied genres.
