  • Five age groups with 3 winners each; prizes include books and vouchers.

Encamp parish council has opened the 15th edition of its Bookmark Design Contest, themed around Antoni Gaudí to commemorate the centenary of the Catalan architect's death.

The longstanding cultural event, which promotes creativity and citizen engagement through artistic design, welcomes entries from parish residents and municipal library members aged five and above. Participants need to create one original bookmark—20cm long by 5cm wide—using any materials. Submissions must include personal details on the back or in a sealed envelope if the material prevents writing directly, and can be handed in at the municipal libraries in Encamp or Pas de la Casa by 7pm on Friday, May 15.

Organised into five age groups—benjamí (5-6 years), aleví (7-10 years), infantil (11-14 years), juvenil (15-17 years), and adults (18+)—the contest will see a jury select three winners per category. Prizes include books and shopping vouchers, with top designs printed for public distribution.

Award ceremonies are scheduled for two sessions: May 27 at 6pm in Encamp's municipal library, and May 28 at 6pm in Pas de la Casa's library.
