The 31st edition of the Saló de la Infància i de la Joventut is drawing families to Encamp's Complex Esportiu i Sociocultural this week, with around 500 children expected daily. The event, running from December 27 to 30, offers activities tailored to all ages in a multi-level setup that encourages family bonding.

Encamp's mayor, Laura Mas, described it as a "very established and highly requested event by families from Andorra and regular tourists." The ground floor features multimedia zones, shows, and workshops suitable for older children and shared family fun. The first floor includes padded areas and a motorbike circuit for babies aged 0-3, a new addition focused on psychomotor skills that extends the event's reach to the youngest visitors. Upstairs, larger inflatables cater to older kids with more energetic play.

A standout attraction this year is the 7D cinema, an immersive five-minute experience blending projections with sensory effects like wind, water sprays, vibrations, and scents. It has proven an instant hit. Eleven-year-old Mariona, a regular attendee, said it was the highlight: "It's very fun, it moves and blows a lot of air." Seven-year-old Neus agreed, praising the moving seats and air blasts, though she preferred the inflatables.

Parents share the enthusiasm. Jordi, father of two girls, noted his daughters request the outing a week in advance, valuing the chance for school friends to reunite. Maribel, another mother, called it "a lot of fun" and a cherished Christmas moment for sharing.

Organizers, led by Encamp Youth technician Nelson Damas, refine the programme daily using satisfaction surveys and on-site feedback to match visitor preferences. The event wraps up in Encamp and continues at Pas de la Casa's Centre Esportiu from January 2 to 4, both open 4pm to 9pm. Entry costs €6 daily or €20 for the full run in Encamp (€15 in Pas de la Casa), with families praising the festive closure spectacles.
