Andorra Jazz Festival Offers €50 Blind Subscriptions for All Five Paid Concerts

Escaldes-Engordany parish council has launched blind subscriptions for the five paid concerts of the 42nd International Jazz Festival, priced at €50—a roughly 25% discount from the standard €65 rate—and including an official festival gift.

Available from Monday, April 13, until May 10 or until sold out, the passes allow entry to all paid events at Sala Prat del Roure without assigned seating, which will be determined later. Regular subscriptions go on sale May 12. The offer targets dedicated fans who trust the festival's reputation before the full programme is officially unveiled.

Procurement notices in the BOPA gazette have already disclosed the headline acts for the July 2-9 event. Swedish trombonist Nils Landgren kicks off the festival on July 2, with US saxophonist Joshua Redman performing the first paid concert on July 3. Paquito D’Rivera and Anat Cohen from Cuba and Israel, respectively, replace Cuban pianist Chucho Valdés on July 4 due to his health issues. US jazz and gospel singer Lizz Wright takes the stage July 5, followed by the Maria Schneider Orchestra on July 8 to close the paid shows.

Council representatives highlight how the blind passes foster loyalty among repeat attendees, who value the event's consistent excellence and prestige over specific artists. The promotion reinforces audience connections and cements the festival's role as a cornerstone of Andorran culture.
