The Estelàrium Christmas park opened Friday in La Massana's Plaça de l'Església, launching a refreshed family event in the old town that runs through 30 December, with extended attractions until 5 January.
Initial attendance was low due to chilly weather and Sant Esteve family lunches, but crowds built through the afternoon as families arrived. Young visitors enjoyed an lively folklore and tango workshop led by the Associació d'Argentinos en Andorra, plus a captivating magic show by Álvaro Oreja. Stalls served mulled wine, churros, pizzas, sweets, and drinks, creating a festive vibe alongside four food trucks.
Tourism Councillor Mònica Solé described the park as offering "fun and quality leisure options for children during the holiday period," welcoming local families and tourists. Revitalization Councillor Bet Rossell emphasized its focus on kids while targeting après-ski guests, noting the shift from Les Fontetes to position the square as the holiday centerpiece.
Open daily from 4:30pm to 8:30pm until 30 December—with New Year's Eve from 4pm to 8pm—most activities are free. The €3 stellar bracelet grants unlimited access to key rides like the climbing wall, urban forest, and carousel, plus a €2 voucher for old-town shops (or free with purchases over €20 at local businesses). An igloo features daily free workshops such as painting Christmas stars or AI-generated photos, complemented by hot chocolate sessions and open-air performances.
Programming continues Monday with Christmas karaoke in the square, open to solo acts, pairs, or groups. From 27 December to 5 January, bracelet holders can use the fixed attractions. The Three Kings event will also relocate there to close festivities.
