Juli Barrero, a Manresa native living in Andorra since 1997, has landed in *Enderrock* magazine's top 100 most-viewed Catalan music videos on YouTube this year with "Sota el cel del Pirineu". The achievement marks another milestone for the independent artist, who sees it as proof that major production companies are not essential for notable success.

"This isn't a one-off—it's a sign the project is solid," Barrero said. The track has also been shortlisted for the *Enderrock* awards, with voting open until 25 January. He urged fans to participate.

The song stands out for celebrating Pyrenean culture and traditions, featuring references to Ordino's Ossa, fallaires fire rituals, and the Minairons folklore figures. Barrero described it as a "cross-border song of love for the land, its people, and customs", offering an uplifting contrast to increasingly shallow mainstream themes.

Working independently with producer Miquel Coll and video director Héctor Romance allows creative freedom, he explained. "We pour our hearts into it, which naturally brings sensitivity and detail for high quality." Each video is crafted like a short film, giving the audiovisual element its own identity rather than merely illustrating the music.

The trio recently completed filming for "Quan els llums s’apaguen", set for release in spring, with promising early feedback. Barrero has long integrated visuals into his work, having known Romance for years.

Past hits include "Dones d’Aigua", which earned 70 international nominations and 20 awards despite being in Catalan—a testament to professionalism and emotional depth. Another video, "Entre tu i jo", garnered around 20 nominations.

Music has defined Barrero's life since age five, when he joined Manresa's choir. "Music and I are inseparable," he said from his home, surrounded by guitars, a bass, and amplifiers. He performs in venues large and small, cherishing intimate moments like a Sant Julià de Lòria gig where 70 attendees shared tears during a cover of "Paraules d’amor".
