The third edition of Ordino's charity event La Llufa drew around 70 participants on Monday evening, more than doubling last year's turnout as families and residents collected toys for Càritas's annual drive.

Starting at 6:30pm from Plaça Major, the group followed a roughly three-kilometre urban loop designed for all ages and abilities. Organisers framed it as a non-competitive solidarity walk, welcoming runners, walkers, children, and families. Entry required donating a new, unwrapped toy—non-violent and non-sexist—with participants receiving a decorative Llufa bib and a small gift upon finishing. Registrations stayed open until 30 minutes before the start, allowing last-minute sign-ups. The evening wrapped up with hot chocolate, churros, and a festive atmosphere.

Notable attendees included Ordino's lead councillor Maria del Mar Coma, fellow councillor Eduard Betriu, local officials such as General Subsyndic Sandra Codina, and elite athlete Laura Orgué with her children. Before the off, participants warmed up to music led by a guide, with some customising their bibs.

Coma, who registered just before the start, praised the increased numbers. She linked last year's smaller crowd to its weekday timing and noted this Monday slot—despite Christmas Day falling on a Sunday—aimed to boost attendance while building a long-term tradition. "Last year there wasn't much turnout, probably due to the day of the week," she said, adding that the format ensures "everyone can join: families, children, people of all ages, whether they want to run or prefer to walk."

The toys will support the 33rd edition of Càritas's collection, coordinated through Ràdio i Televisió d'Andorra (RTVA) and driven by RNA presenter Òscar Royó, guaranteeing gifts for every child at Three Kings. While most embraced the spirit, some families drew mild criticism for shortcuts. Organisers hope to establish La Llufa as a fixed part of Ordino's Christmas calendar, expecting even larger crowds next year.
