La Massana's 18th Winter Cuisine Days Ends in Acclaim

The 18th edition of La Massana's Winter Cuisine Days has concluded to widespread acclaim from participating restaurants and visitors, who appreciated the broad selection of seasonal and locally sourced dishes.

Councillor for Dynamisation Bet Rossell described the outcome as a clear win for the parish's food scene. "These days are designed to highlight our gastronomy and spotlight the quality and range of Massana's offerings, so the primary aim has been met," she said. "It's also very encouraging that some restaurants have chosen to extend their menus for several more weeks, proving they're a hit."

Now firmly rooted after 18 iterations, the event traces its origins to Lo Mandongo, an initiative centred on pork and its many uses as a staple ingredient. Recent years have seen it expand into the modern Winter Cuisine Days format, embracing a fuller spectrum of seasonal produce to match evolving preferences and deliver richer dining options.

Sixteen venues joined in, featuring mainly mountain-inspired cooking but also tapas, inventive bites, and relaxed styles. Restaurant owners see it as an effective way to boost local cuisine. A number have noted rising requests for single dishes over complete menus—a choice added in recent outings to better suit diners' wishes.

The event has secured a steady base of local fans while pulling in visitors to Andorra. Several spots intend to run their featured menus through the whole of March.
