The Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley management commission has launched a public tender to commission a production company for a new promotional audiovisual piece about the valley.

Susanna Simon, director of the management plan, told Altaveu the current documentary—screened at the visitor centre to mark the site's 10th anniversary as a UNESCO World Heritage site—needs updating. With the centre now relocated to Borda Gabriel, the commission aims to produce fresh, innovative content.

The new video, lasting up to 15 or 20 minutes, will incorporate existing historical memory interviews from the "Camins de memòria" series, previously broadcast on television as short capsules. These will add a personal dimension alongside valley landscapes. Planners also seek more realistic depictions of daily life, such as work at the bordes, agricultural and livestock activities, or operations at the Farga, using techniques proposed by bidders.

Production will span all of 2026 to capture footage across the four seasons, with a premiere targeted for 2027. Educational materials for schools will follow.

Companies can submit bids until 1pm on 1 April to the procedures service at Sant Julià de Lòria commune. Envelopes will open the next day at 10am.
