Naiara Hernández, known as Naiara HL, 36, from Sant Julià, will perform tomorrow at Tabola the new track "Andorra Remember Festival Vol. 1", a makina anthem sung entirely in Catalan that premieres at the festival. The production is by 2Worlds with contributions from Rubén XXL and resident DJs Marki & Vega; Naiara wrote the lyrics.

The song was originally intended to be in English, but Naiara proposed doing it in Catalan, translated the text and reworked the rhymes. She acknowledges that English can reach more people, "but maybe if we do it in our language, we reach ours," meaning the local audience that will actually come together to enjoy the music.

Naiara says Catalan-language music is on the rise and that she is a great admirer of it. The team is checking whether this will be the first fully Catalan makina track: there are previous examples to consider, such as a makina-style version of the Himne dels Segadors and "Deixa’m respirar" by Piyuli, which may be a version or include some English lines; the matter is still being clarified.

The festival’s second edition lineup includes DJ Escudero (one of the creators of "Flying Free"), Dani BPM, Rubén XXL, Marki & Vega and 2Worlds. Naiara also promises additional surprises she cannot yet reveal.

She describes the event as a "night of remembrance" that brings together people who listened to this music in their youth and new generations. The remember scene now covers makina and bacalao and inspires new productions that evoke the magical years of listeners’ lives, creating a special, family-like atmosphere that "has to be lived."

For Naiara, singing is essential. "Singing is my essence. I can’t imagine living without doing it," she says, adding that she has never questioned why she sings—it's simply part of who she is.
