Ordino’s 2025 Christmas Fair drew more than 7,000 visitors over the long weekend from 5 to 8 December, organisers said, closing with a lively atmosphere and strong participation. The event spread across the main street, Plaça Major and Plaça de la Closa, where 22 wooden chalets offered a wide range of seasonal and artisanal goods, including decorations, poinsettias, eucalyptus bouquets, candles, wooden toys, ceramics, jewellery and a notable selection of food products such as chocolates, neules (wafers), torrons (nougat), cava, cured meats and gourmet sauces.

A packed programme of performances and workshops contributed to the fair’s festive tone. Highlights included Christmas carols by Coral Casamanya, shows by La Capsa de Música and singer Júlia Sart, workshops for children and adults, parish-group performances and storytelling sessions. On Sunday, the presentations of L’última ossa d’Ordino and El despertar de l’osseta by the Associació de Cultura Popular d’Ordino were among the most anticipated events, drawing many residents and visitors.

Organisers also reported positive early results for El Cercle Màgic, a new family attraction that opened in late November and will run until 1 March. Since 21 November, 819 people have visited Santa at his “secret house” and 1,148 passports have been sold for the full itinerary, which includes the House of Santa, the mill and sawmill, the Reindeer Path and the Cave of the Menairó Trapella.

Officials expect visits to rise further during the Christmas weeks and school holidays. They said the combination of good weather, cultural programming and a well-decorated setting helped consolidate the fair as one of Ordino’s most beloved annual events.
