The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the French Embassy in Andorra, is organizing the second edition of the Francophone cinema cycle from March 16 to 20 at the Teatre Comunal in Andorra la Vella.

Launched in 2024 to mark the 20th anniversary of Andorra's accession to the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), the event forms part of the government's cultural diplomacy strategy. It also aligns with the French Embassy's cultural season, supported by the Comú of Andorra la Vella, the permanent representation of the French co-prince, and the Aliança Francoandorrana. The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports co-manages the initiative.

All four screenings of recent international productions are free and explore diverse social, cultural, and human themes through French-language storytelling. The schedule begins on Monday, March 16, with *La nuit des rois* (Côte d'Ivoire), a drama by Philippe Lacôte set in an Abidjan prison, delving into its symbolic and narrative world.

On Tuesday, March 17, screens *La nuit se traîne* (Belgium), a tense urban thriller by Michiel Blanchart about a race against time in a fraught city.

Thursday, March 19, features *Dissidente* (Canada), Pier-Philippe Chevigny's social drama on daily struggles against labor exploitation among migrant workers in a factory.

The cycle closes on Friday, March 20, with *Dans la cuisine des N’Guyen* (Vietnam), Stéphane Ly-Cuong's musical comedy examining intergenerational dialogue and cultural identity via family cooking and stage passion.

Organizers aim to bring Francophone culture to local audiences while reinforcing links with French-speaking nations.
