Sant Julià de Lòria Reopens High-Mountain Access with Permits from June 8

Sant Julià de Lòria will reopen vehicular access to the high-mountain areas of Claror, Camp Ramonet, Port Negre, and Coll de Finestres starting Monday, 8 June, under a seasonal traffic control scheme.

The Comú of Sant Julià de Lòria is resuming oversight of these routes as summer approaches, one of the parish's most visited natural spots. Access will be limited to authorised vehicles, with foreign-plated or rental cars barred unless they hold explicit permission from the Comú. This follows the regulatory ordinance approved in June 2024.

The measure aims to manage vehicle traffic and protect the environment. It takes effect if weather conditions allow and is expected to run through November or December, though the exact closure date remains unconfirmed.

Users need a specific permit costing 35 euros per person, available from 8 June at the Comú's Tràmits service on weekdays from 8am to 2:30pm, or via an online application form on the Comú's website.

Those without the permit can pay a daily fee of 26 euros per vehicle. Tickets are sold at the Tràmits service, the Plaça Laurèdia tourist office, or the access barrier shack, where a guard will check vehicles.

Breaches of the ordinance count as administrative offences, punishable by fines from 50 to 3,000 euros depending on severity.
