Andorra's meteorological service has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms across the Principality, effective from midday Monday into the night.
The alert, activated this morning, anticipates intense showers capable of dropping up to 10mm of rain in 30 minutes, accompanied by hail in places. Low-level clouds over high elevations are forecast to develop upward through the afternoon, triggering storms nationwide. A thunderstorm front linked to a weather disturbance shifting west of the Iberian Peninsula could persist overnight before conditions stabilize Tuesday under the influence of a North African anticyclonic ridge.
Temperatures in Andorra la Vella are expected to range from 14°C minimum to 25°C maximum. Around 1,500 meters, readings will vary between 10°C and 22°C, while Pas de la Casa faces 8°C lows and 14°C highs. Winds will remain light from the southwest.
