La Massana will host the fourth Festa del Medi Ambient on June 6, a free event at Prat Gran from 10am to 6pm designed to promote environmental awareness through educational and recreational activities for all ages.

Organised by Andorra's communes and Pirinenca de Serveis, the day includes workshops like 'La Dansa del Metall' and 'Jardí de Tell de Fusta' for children and adults, traditional games, 'superverd' storytelling sessions, hourly Kahoot! quizzes on environmental topics, a food truck, and a popular rice dish. Children can inspect Pirinenca de Serveis waste collection trucks firsthand. The EBUR stand, focused on recycling best practices, will feature educators answering questions on selective collection, a recycling game, and an object exchange where participants can trade toys, decorations, or small appliances to extend their use.

Three activities require pre-registration at festamediambient.com: a 9am family hike along the Circuit Interpretatiu del Comapedrosa, guided by Andorra Sostenible to highlight the country's natural environment; an 11.30am environmental-themed escape room for groups of up to six, offering 90 spots with puzzles linked to local nature and La Massana landmarks; and evening stargazing at Coll de la Botella.

Vanessa Carrascosa, president of the Waste Commission, emphasised making sustainability accessible through hands-on experiences. La Massana's menor consellor, Roger Fité, highlighted the stargazing's connection to Andorra's Starlight destination status and efforts to protect the night sky.
