Andorra's School Health Service carried out 2,189 health screenings and administered 1,229 vaccinations to pupils across educational centres during the 2024-2025 academic year, achieving robust preventive coverage.
According to the SAAS 2025 report, the service prioritised health screenings, vaccine status monitoring, support for newly arrived students, and health promotion initiatives. Screenings reached 96.17% of the target population. Within these, 1,243 vaccine checks yielded 79.99% coverage, while school-based campaigns assessed 1,855 pupils, covering 76.98% of those eligible. Nursery screenings were postponed to the start of the 2025-2026 year for organisational reasons.
Vaccination drives produced strong outcomes, with 61.14% coverage for human papillomavirus (HPV), 70.57% for meningococcal ACWY (MACWY), and 73.98% for dTpa+IPV. These combined efforts vaccinated 1,229 adolescents, supporting the standard immunisation schedule and school-based access.
At the Health Ministry's initiative, a varicella vaccination programme launched this year targets pupils from 6th primary to 4th secondary—or equivalent—who lack prior infection or two doses. Spanning the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 years, it aims to cover all eligible students and curb rising cases among the unvaccinated. Teams reviewed varicella data for three academic years and delivered 286 doses to consenting pupils.
