The Andorran Social Security Fund (CASS) has launched a new healthcare assistance service in Madrid, expanding its network of support across Spain. The initiative, approved by the CASS Board of Directors during a meeting on Monday, aims to provide high-quality, accessible medical care primarily for students and diplomats living in the Spanish capital.
The service will operate through the Hospital Universitario Moncloa and Centro Médico Caracas, following the same model as the existing arrangement with Assistència Sanitària Col·legial. Patients can request authorisation vouchers using the current procedure. For students, proof of enrolment in ongoing studies is required, mirroring the process already in place for those studying in Catalonia.
CASS highlighted the move in a statement, noting its focus on proximity and quality for these key groups. The expansion builds on prior services without altering established protocols.
In the same board meeting, directors also greenlit three contracts: for project management, insurance policies, and evaluation of data protection impacts. They further approved calls for tenders on renovating CASS offices and maintaining the organisation's building elevators.
