Opposition councillor Noemí Amador raised concerns after families struggled to obtain ADHD prescriptions

Andorra Endavant, an opposition group in the General Council, has submitted written questions to the government over ongoing shortages of ADHD medications, particularly those containing lisdexamfetamine.

General councillor Noemí Amador raised the issue after receiving complaints from multiple families who have struggled for months to obtain prescribed treatments for their children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), with or without hyperactivity. The supply problems, known before the summer, remain unresolved despite the time elapsed.

In a party statement, Amador highlighted the need for government explanations on actions taken so far, the reasons for persistent issues, and steps to ensure uninterrupted treatment. "If the problem has been known for months, it is essential to explain what has been done, why it has not yet been resolved, and what alternatives are being pursued. Families need solutions and guarantees of treatment continuity," she said.

The group is pressing the health ministry for details on specific measures implemented, Andorra's reliance on a limited number of suppliers, and efforts to broaden sources. It specifically asks whether officials have approached French authorities or distributors—where lisdexamfetamine-based drugs are available—to secure alternative supplies, and if not, why. Andorra Endavant also seeks information on planned actions to prevent future disruptions for affected families.
