A 51-year-old man was injured on Friday afternoon in a workplace accident at a construction site on Carrer del Consell de la Terra in Escaldes-Engordany, where new towers are being built.
According to the fire service, the worker suffered multiple trauma after a structure fell on him. He was taken to hospital. The severity of his injuries has not been disclosed.
The alarm was raised at around 3:30 pm, prompting a response from the fire service, the Servei Urgent Mèdic (SUM), the mountain rescue team and the fire service nursing team, who attended to the man and evacuated him. The police were also at the scene.
