The third edition of the Cursa 3 Ponts in Escaldes-Engordany drew 244 participants on Saturday, a 42% increase on the 172 runners who took part last year, according to organisers.

Women were the majority for a second consecutive year, with 158 female entrants — nearly 65% of the field — against 86 men, the Comú reported.

Unai Hernández and Ana Marisa Magalhaes won the competitive event.

The race combined physical activity with discovery of the parish's historic heritage, following two routes past three landmark bridges: the pont dels Escalls, the pont de la Tosca and the pont d'Engordany. Both courses started and finished at the Prat del Roure. The non-competitive 2.5-kilometre walk accounted for almost 80% of registrations, with 188 participants, while the timed 3.25-kilometre race drew 56 entrants.

Organisers highlighted the event's intergenerational character. The average age of participants was 37.4, with 47 children under 12 and 42 people aged 60 or over. The largest age group was 40 to 49, with 50 entrants, followed by 30 to 39, with 46.

Councillor for Sports Laura López said the event was more than a sporting competition, describing it as an opportunity to showcase the parish's historic heritage and to highlight emblematic sites such as the three bridges, which she said form part of Escaldes-Engordany's identity. She also described the race as intergenerational, allowing everyone to rediscover these locations in a different way, and said growing participation encouraged the Comú to keep backing the initiative.

Coinciding with Halloween and All Saints' celebrations, many participants completed the routes in costume, with entertainment points along the course. A traditional xocolatada at the Prat del Roure closed the event.
