Andorra's Medical On-Call Service will expand primary care coverage over the Christmas period, from December 25, 2025, to January 6, 2026, with additional weekday operations to meet heightened demand.
Typically limited to weekends and national holidays, the service will open on December 29, 30, and 31, as well as January 2 and 5. This follows a successful trial of the same expanded schedule last year.
The Ministry of Health, Andorran Health Services (SAAS), Social Security Fund (CASS), and Official College of Andorran Physicians (COMA) jointly approved the initiative to ensure reliable primary care amid peak holiday patient volumes, as outlined in an official statement.
Housed in the SAAS outpatient building at the former Meritxell Clinic, the public service offers continuous attention from family physicians. Hours are 9am to 1pm and 3pm to 8pm.
Access requires advance booking via 871017 or referral from other facilities, such as emergency departments or health centres.
