The Andorran Ministry of Health's second edition of the 'Cuida la teva salut' lecture series kicked off on Tuesday, 13 January, with a session on first aid and safety at the Llar de jubilats in Escaldes-Engordany at 4:45pm.
The free programme, open to all residents, continues through May across Andorra's seven parishes. It promotes healthy lifestyle habits during ageing to reduce dependency and delay chronic conditions linked to lifestyle factors. The initiative responds to requests from the Federació de la Gent Gran and supports priorities in the National Pact for the Quality, Efficiency, and Sustainability of the Health System, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention.
Upcoming early sessions include first aid and safety in Ordino on Thursday, 15 January at 5pm at the Casa pairal; advance decision planning in La Massana on Tuesday, 20 January at 5pm at the Casa pairal; and sexuality in later life in Canillo on Wednesday, 21 January at 3pm at the Centre Perecaus Com a casa. Further dates and topics—such as healthy nutrition and mental-cognitive wellbeing—will be announced via parish channels and social media.
