The Andorran Red Cross closed 2025 after organising five blood‑donation campaigns that registered 1,423 offers, of which 1,280 were effective. Over the year the organisation added 223 new donors, a figure it described as reflecting growing public commitment to donation.

Donors aged 46–55 were the most active, followed closely by those aged 36–45. Participation was roughly balanced between men and women. The most common blood groups collected were A+ and O+, while less frequent types such as AB− and O− were also obtained and flagged as essential for emergency use.

The final campaign of the year, held 19–21 November at the Lycée Comte de Foix, drew a strong response: 311 donations and 53 new donors across three days. The Red Cross thanked Lycée students for assisting with reception and guidance, and praised Hospitality baccalaureate students for providing catering that made the experience more comfortable for participants.

Looking ahead, the Red Cross has scheduled five donation drives for 2026: 21–23 January at La Llacuna (co‑organised with the Escola Andorrana); 23 March at the Pavelló Toni Martí; 1–3 June at Escola Sant Ermengol (La Llacuna); 13–15 October at the Lycée Comte de Foix; and 16–18 December at the University of Andorra.

The organisation says its objectives are to maintain participation levels, build a base of regular donors and ensure a steady blood supply throughout the year to support a safer, more resilient healthcare system and to strengthen a culture of solidarity.

The 2025 totals sit below 2024 figures, when 1,530 donations and 322 new donors were recorded, underscoring the Red Cross’s stated intent to consolidate and stabilise donor numbers going forward.
