Influenza cases in Andorra have reached 208.96 per 100,000 inhabitants for the week of 7–14 December, crossing into the "high" incidence threshold for the first time this season, up from 137.77 the previous week.

Health Ministry data confirm flu now accounts for roughly three-quarters of all diagnosed acute respiratory infections. The overall rate for these infections rose to 477.08 per 100,000, compared with 398.35 in the week of 1–7 December. Children aged 0–4 years continue to face the highest rates, followed by those aged 5–14, aligning with typical early-season patterns.

Lab results from week 50 (1–7 December) showed a 17.12% positivity rate among tested samples. Influenza A dominated at 77.63%, with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) at 13.16%, rhinovirus/enterovirus at 6.58%, and SARS-CoV-2 at 1.32%. Adenovirus detections remained minimal.

Officials note a consistent week-on-week increase and emphasise close monitoring of vulnerable groups, including young children. Surveillance of respiratory viruses has been active since 29 September, with no additional measures announced so far.
