**Projecte Vida Aids 169 People Through Andorra Addiction Programs in 2025, Highlighting Case Complexity and Emerging Trends**

Projecte Vida supported 169 individuals in 2025 through its addiction services in Andorra, including 122 follow-up visits, as detailed in the organization's newly published Social and Economic Impact Report. Of those assisted, 103 (60.9%) sought direct services, while 66 (39.1%) were family members or associates. Prison support groups reached 37 participants, and 39 people took part in the three ongoing community groups.

The report underscores increasing diversity and severity among cases. Alcohol dominated at roughly 70% of consultations, a slight decline from 2024. Polyaddictions—multiple substance or behavioral dependencies—climbed to 11.7%, with rises in behavioral issues like gambling (4.9%, mostly men facing major financial losses) and cocaine-related cases (3%). Consultations involving psychotropic drugs for anxiety or insomnia emerged at 1.9%.

Demographic patterns evolved. The 45-54 age group led inquiries, followed by 25-34 and 18-35 ranges. Older adults, including those aged 65-74 and 75-84, featured more prominently, typically via family contacts rather than personal visits—contrasting 2024's emphasis on adolescent cases. Women accessing direct services nearly doubled, now comprising a nine-member dedicated group.

Nearly 80% of spending went to programs and activities, with 20.4% on administration, exceeding typical third-sector standards. Projecte Vida complemented health and social services with prevention efforts, outreach, relapse support, family assistance, and a new community survey to enhance data and responses.

Executive secretary Eva Tenorio elaborated on these shifts, noting polyaddictions, gambling, cocaine, and psychopharmaceuticals as key growth areas. She linked broader trends to ongoing societal discussions, including government plans to restrict social media for under-16s. "A ban alone is not enough," she said, calling for clear, realistic, non-stigmatizing education for youth, families, and schools to counter unchecked algorithms without demonizing platforms.
