Key Points

  • Solà d'Enclar apartments opening in 2026 after delays from 2025 H1.
  • 10-20 temporary places for mental health recovery patients.
  • Hiring 3-4 professionals; located on CREI building's top floors.
  • Part of Pisma plan, supported by weekly ministry meetings.

The supervised apartments at Solà d'Enclar are set to open this year, according to Joan Soler, head of the Mental Health and Addictions Service (SAAS). He told *Altaveu* that SAAS is collaborating closely with the relevant ministry through weekly meetings to launch the facility, marking a key priority under this year's Mental Health and Addictions Comprehensive Plan (Pisma).

Soler expressed optimism about completing the project within one or two months, though he stressed it would definitely happen in 2026. "We prefer to do it right in a couple of months rather than rush now," he said, praising the ministry's strong support. The initiative had previously been targeted for the first half of 2025, but timelines slipped once again.

To staff the apartments, SAAS plans to hire three or four professionals, though Soler declined to specify their roles. Located on the top two floors of the CREI building, the facility will offer 10 to 20 places for individuals recovering from mental health issues. It aims to provide temporary housing to support their transition back to everyday social and work life, rather than long-term residence.

"These are for people to stay temporarily, not for life," Soler explained, adding that such assistance significantly eases rehabilitation. He voiced satisfaction at advancing one of Pisma's core goals, crediting the ministry's cooperative approach.
