Firefighters in Andorra cleared broken glass from a rooftop in Sant Julià de Lòria on Thursday morning after residents reported the hazard on Carrer de les Escoles.
The alert came around noon, leading Bombers d'Andorra to send a truck equipped with an extendable ladder. Crews reached the roof from outside and removed the shattered fragments, confirming no damage to the building itself. The glass originated from the severe gale on 15 March, when strong winds scattered debris across the parish.
Authorities described the response as a preventive measure to stop the pieces—likely from damaged panels—from falling onto the street during future gusts and injuring pedestrians below.
That Sunday storm prompted seven firefighter callouts, mostly in Sant Julià. Teams cleared fallen trees blocking the road to Os de Civís and retrieved a solar panel that had dropped from a sixth-floor building onto the roadway. None of the incidents caused injuries.
The operation underscores ongoing work to mitigate risks from the weather event's aftermath.
