Andorra Police Arrest Man for Domestic Gender-Based Violence in La Massana

Police in Andorra arrested a 47-year-old man on Sunday night in La Massana on suspicion of physical and moral harm to his partner in a domestic gender-based violence incident.

The altercation took place late Sunday afternoon, shortly before 8pm, at the couple's shared home on Avinguda de Sant Antoni. Informed sources indicated the man assaulted the woman during a physical dispute. He then fled the residence.

Neighbours, alerted by the disturbance, called authorities. Officers arrived to find the suspect gone but confirmed the woman's account after speaking with her. She showed visible injuries consistent with the assault, according to police sources.

A short search led to the man's detention around 9pm or shortly afterwards. He faces charges of offences against physical and moral integrity within the context of gender-based violence, stemming from the woman's injuries.
