Police in Andorra detained a 50-year-old man in Andorra la Vella on Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of repeated physical and moral mistreatment against his partner and other family members he lived with. The arrest followed a complaint filed by the victim after an initial police intervention the previous night.

In a separate incident this week, officers arrested a 43-year-old tourist at the Franco-Andorran border as he attempted to enter the country carrying 2.2 grams of cocaine and 33.75 grams of hashish.

Authorities also made multiple arrests related to drink-driving over recent days. Seven people faced charges in total, several linked to material-damage accidents. Notable cases included a 66-year-old man who recorded a blood alcohol level of 2.70 after causing a crash at Plaça de l'Església de Sant Pere Màrtir in Escaldes-Engordany. Another driver, aged 61, tested at 2.34 while operating a vehicle with a suspended licence. A 49-year-old man registered 1.70 during a routine check in the same parish.

Additional incidents involved a 23-year-old with a reading of 1.60 following an accident on the Carretera del Forn de Canillo; a 39-year-old man at 0.99 after a collision in La Massana; a 34-year-old man at 1.46 after officers observed high-speed, aggressive driving in Andorra la Vella; and a 29-year-old woman at 1.60 as she rapidly exited a car park.

In Canillo, a 34-year-old man was arrested after refusing an alcohol test during a traffic stop prompted by suspected intoxication. He also threatened and insulted officers, leading to suspected charges of offences against liberty and public authority.

Finally, police detained a 55-year-old man for driving with a licence suspended under a penal order, facing suspected charges against the administration of justice.
